At Tufts University, she was awarded a prestigious scholarship from the United States Air Force. Upon graduation, she received a commission as captain and served four years at Special Operations Command, Mac Dill Air Force Base, in Tampa, Florida. Following the Air Force, she worked as a clinician in private practice and public health.

Life & Hobbies

Dr. Vachet was born in Puerto Rico, however, her family moved to New York City to provide medical care for her younger sister. In high school, she was introduced to the field of dentistry and became a dental assistant. After several years of working in the field, including travel to Mozambique, Africa, Nicaragua, and Russia on medical missions, as well as working in the inner city with children and homeless individuals, Dr. Vachet decided to become a dentist.

During her time off, Dr. Vachet spends quality time with her husband and dog, Alegria, and she lives a simple life with them.  She also enjoys friends, family, gardening, reading, resting, riding bikes, walking with Alegria, and watching movies.
